People running businesses have many problems to face and difficulties to overcome if they are to survive and prosper. But these will often take on a less formidable aspect when discussed and shared with other small business people having to contend with similar day to day problems and difficulties. However, meeting other business people rarely happens in the normal course of events. You are far too busy running your own business to make regular contact with your peers.
In 1985, the then local Enterprise Agency launched the Dudley & District Business Club to provide a forum for communications between members, a place where problems could be shared and discussed, a platform for the exchange of opinions, knowledge and experiences. The Club continues to enjoy links and support from Black Country Chamber of Commerce and The Metropolitan Borough of Dudley.
The Club provides a focal point where its members can meet regularly in a friendly and informal atmosphere; but more than that, it also provides a service to help encourage members along the hazardous highway of running a small business.
